Screen Printing
Screen printing is a technique that passes ink through a stencil to the garment below. The process creates a sharp-edged, single colour image. Multiple colour images can be created by layering prints from multiple stencils onto the garment. A single stenciled screen is required for each color, so individual colours must be separated from the image to produce the stencils.
Vector-based format:
In order for us to create your screen print, you will need to send your artwork as a vector-based graphic. If you click on your artwork and one large box appears around the entire image (rather than around individual parts of your image), then your graphic is not in a vector-based format. Have us Help.
Convert to outlines:
If your graphic contains any text it must be converted to outlines before it is e-mailed. This can be done by going to the toolbar in Adobe Illustrator and clicking on "Type". Scroll down and click on "Create Outlines". This will prevent the font from being substituted if we do not have your particular font on our computer. |
